THE SMALL PRINT – Submitting an order indicates acceptance of the following policies
All balloon prices in the balloon shop are for the product as described. If you want changes or additions there may be extra charges that will need to be added on. The balloon shop has our most popular items and is designed to make it easy to order gifts and basic decor on your end. You are welcome to call us at 518.522.8212 or email info@upstateballooncompany if you want something that is not listed and we can have our designers work with you to customize your order better.
Please include details in the notes when ordering that will assist us in completing your order. We will do our best to fulfill specific requests. We have hundreds of different designs in stock and carry most of the Qualatex latex colors in 11″. We may call you to confirm an order if we see any potential problems in the order such as a see through balloon color with a solid balloon color, possible misprints for a message, or an unclear address. We may also call to upgrade to a cute printed balloon we have on hand. We want everything to look amazing for you. If there are any issues we will let you know as soon as we can.
Large requests may need a minimum of three days to fulfill and may need set up time on site with electrical access. To guarantee specific designs we suggest that you order at least 10 days ahead of time.
OUTDOOR BALLOONS POLICY
We understand that many events are held outside and certainly want you to be able to use our balloons outside. Balloons are biodegradable so weather can adversely affect balloons. We recommend outdoor balloons be placed in an environment that does not receive a lot of wind and not in direct sun with the temperature as close to 70 as possible. Excessive heat will cause them to break down quickly, pop or shrink. Balloons generally do fine in the winter. If they become wet they will stick to each other. Helium balloons should NOT be used outside. Please choose from our yard designs for better options. We do our best to create what you want and have it last for your event however we cannot be held liable for damage done by adverse weather conditions. We can only say the balloons will last a few hours outside. They might last a couple days if weather conditions are perfect for the balloons – in general depend on a few hours.
DELIVERY TIMES
Note: We are unable to honor requests to modify your selected delivery time, leave balloons unattended at a residence, or make your delivery anonymous. If you need balloons delivered in a specific time frame then make sure you choose the correct time frame. Specific delivery times require our drivers and those at the shop to work around your schedule and may require extra staff or overtime for our staff.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGE DEADLINES
For purchases under $200, not affected by severe weather events
For a full refund, the deadline to submit your request is 9am, Eastern Time (New York), the day prior to delivery.
Orders cancelled or changed after this deadline are subject to a cancellation charge ranging from $25 to 100% of the order value, depending on the extent of preparations made for the order.
We are normally unable to cancel or change an order on the date of delivery.
For purchases over $200, not affected by severe weather events
For a full refund, the deadline to submit your request is 9am, Eastern Time (New York), 10 days prior to delivery.
Requests received after this deadline are subject to a cancellation charge ranging from 20% to 100% of the order value, depending on the extent of preparations made for the order.
We are normally unable to cancel or change an order on the date of delivery.
HOW TO CANCEL AND CHANGE AN ORDER
Please send your request by email to info@upstateballooncompany.com AND call to let us know at 518.522.8212. Please leave a message if you do not receive a live person. Please consider your order canceled or changed only when you have received a confirmation by email.
SEVERE WEATHER POLICY
In the event of forecasted severe weather, someone from Upstate Balloon Company will contact the customer the day prior to delivery to reconfirm, postpone, or cancel/refund the order. If we can not deliver an order due to inclement weather, the customer will be notified as soon as possible to arrange rescheduling or cancellation and refund. If you do not receive a call from us then it is your responsibility to call if the weather will be affecting your order. We do live in New York and our drivers are accustomed to driving in the snow. You’ve done the preparation on your end for this special day and we want to do everything we can on our end to make it special.
